Hi, I’m Kara Berhow– I am an artist living in Des Moines, Iowa.
My family is filled with many furry members, and we always seem to have an extra or two as fosters for a great Iowa rescue: Fluffy Butts Rescue
Upon entering college, I knew that I needed a career that would sustain my need to create, design and explore the ideas that are constantly popping into my head. I believe I am on the right path, but my desire to work with my hands -physically creating something- goes beyond sitting at a computer.
I have been searching for some time to find the appropriate supplement to my career that would appease my need to create. My lifelong love for animals, and talent for painting led me to a pretty obvious choice: Pet paintings! I am so excited to offer these paintings to the public. I know that anyone who loves their pets as much as I do would adore a painting of their beloved creature.
I paint from a photograph of your pet to capture your best friend in a way that can be beautiful displayed in your home. I have primarily been commissioned to create paintings of dogs and cats, but feel free to send over photos of any other pet you might have- I can do any animal. I look forward to hearing from you and I hope to able to help you pay tribute to your beloved companion(s).
